Surface Skin Lab

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Surface Skin Lab is a Vancouver-based medical aesthetics clinic that specialises in cosmetic injectables, skin care, hair restoration, laser hair removal, and Naturopathic medicine. Their wide range of services seek to treat not only what’s on the surface, but what’s underneath too. From skin peels to facials, acne to hormone balancing, Surface Skin Lab’s team of talented doctors work with their clients to achieve beauty both inside and out.

With over 15 years of experience, founder and owner Dr. Heidi Rootes, sought to establish her own cosmetic and naturopathic medical clinic. Establishing Surface Skin Lab in 2019, Heidi wished to use established brand standards to design the online accompaniment to her brick and mortar facility. The website would be the online portal for treatment details, product information, booking appointments, a blog, and a store.

As the web designer for Surface Skin Lab, I worked with the client to determine the scope of the website that would integrate well into the existing brand identity and the physical space of the clinic. This involved determining points of continuity between the website and the interior of the office space, developing the site map, page content, and constructing the website through Dreamweaver and Wordpress.
