Photography

While I am not technically trained in photography, I have a keen interest in the art form. Ever since I was a child, I have always found it comforting to document and record the world around me – whether mundane or an exciting event. Photos have the unique ability to lock a moment or feeling in time and securing them in perpetuity.

Professionally, I have had the great opportunity to exercise my enthusiasm for photography. While working for The Arbutus Club I captured a multitude of events, spaces, and often took promotional photos for the athletic department. Many of the aforementioned images appeared inside the pages or on the cover of the Club’s quarterly magazine, The Bark.

Photograph taken at Bodega Ridge on Galiano Island was featured in the Share the Coast campaign and was the cover photo for the Gulf Islands brochure.

Georgia Straight, Vancouver, Canada
Concert photo of Dragonette performing at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, British Columbia, was used in the print and digital versions of the publication.

Prensa Libre, Guatemala City, Guatemala
The publication is the most widely circulated newspaper in Guatemala. A photo I had taken at a market in Chichicastenango was used in the digital and print editions of the paper.

CBC News, Edmonton, Canada
Photograph of a park picnic in downtown Edmonton was featured in CBC New’s August Photo Contest.
